Three folders that stay in view
A while back we gave every account a permanent Priority folder, always there, pinned above everything else, its tasks carried over day to day until they're done. It turned out one always-on folder wasn't quite enough. So Priority now has two companions.
NewBottleneck, for whatever's blocking you
Some tasks aren't the most important thing you'll do today; they're the thing everything else is waiting on. The Bottleneck folder is for exactly those. Drop the one item that's holding up the rest into it and it stays in its own pinned box, in view, until it clears.
NewNext, for what's up next
The Next folder holds what you're moving to as soon as the current thing is done. Not urgent enough to be a priority, not blocking anything, just the on-deck list you don't want to lose track of.
NewSame behaviour, three boxes
Bottleneck and Next work exactly like Priority. Each one is:
- Always there, seeded on every account, pinned near the top, and impossible to delete or rename by accident.
- Always in view, its tasks stay visible and carry over from day to day until you finish them.
- In its own box, pulled out of the flat timeline into a pinned section, so the three colours read at a glance: amber for Priority, rose for Bottleneck, sky for Next.
Nothing else about the timeline changed. Everything below these boxes is still one flat, chronological list, you've just got three dependable places to keep the things that matter most from slipping out of sight.
More soon. As always, the fastest way to shape what we build next is to send feedback right from the app.
