Flow mode, and a tour that fits your phone
Two changes shipped this week: a new way to turn any single log into a focus session, and a mobile fix we're glad to see the back of.
NewFlow mode, from any log
Flow now sits right in the mode picker, next to Default and Planning. Switch into Flow, then press and hold any entry on your timeline to drop straight into a focus session for that one task, no need to move it into a special folder first.
The session runs the same three steps as before:
- Ritual, a quick check that your music, your drink and your spot are ready. The same setup every time trains your brain to switch faster.
- Timer, a running focus clock you can pause and resume. It tracks against the wall clock, so it stays honest even if you switch tabs or lock your phone.
- Summary, when you're done the task is marked complete and the time is logged, so the session shows up in your record like any other work.
The task stays editable the whole way through, so if the wording changes once you're actually in it, just tap to fix it.
FixedThe guided tour, on a phone
On mobile, the tour was covering the whole screen on the steps that ask you to actually do something, tapping the composer, holding an entry, so you couldn't see the thing it was pointing at. Now the tour card steps aside on those steps, leaving the highlighted control in full view and within reach while the walkthrough carries on.
SimplifiedFewer switches to fuss over
We also cleared the per-folder behaviour toggles out of the folder settings. The behaviours themselves still work under the hood; the panel of switches was one more thing to think about, and most people never needed it.
More soon. As always, the fastest way to shape what we build next is to send feedback right from the app.
